4-H Youth Program
4-H is America's largest youth development organization, providing young people with opportunities to learn, lead, serve, and grow through hands-on experiences. Open to youth ages 8 to 18 from both rural and urban communities, 4-H helps members develop valuable life skills while exploring their interests in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether you enjoy animals, science, art, cooking, photography, robotics, public speaking, or countless other project areas, 4-H offers something for everyone. Members choose projects that match their individual interests and learn by doing through club meetings, community service, leadership activities, and educational experiences.
Throughout the year, members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of county and state events, including camps, workshops, Achievement Days, horse shows, judging contests, Special Foods, Shooting Sports, performing arts, public presentations, and many other educational and recreational activities.
In addition to having fun and making lifelong friends, research shows that young people involved in 4-H are more likely to earn better grades, pursue higher education, become active leaders in their families and communities, and are less likely to engage in risky behaviors. Through its positive youth development programs, 4-H helps prepare young people for success in school, careers, and life.
The Deuel County 4-H Program is proud to serve the youth, families, and communities of Deuel County by providing educational opportunities that inspire leadership, citizenship, and personal growth.
