Emergency Manager
Deuel County Emergency Management is dedicated to helping our community prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of natural and human-caused disasters. The goal of Emergency Management is to protect lives, property, and the environment through planning, coordination, education, and effective emergency response.
Working closely with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as emergency responders and community partners, the Emergency Management Office develops and maintains comprehensive emergency plans, coordinates disaster preparedness and training, and supports response and recovery efforts when emergencies occur.
Emergency Management also works to strengthen the county's ability to withstand future disasters by identifying hazards, promoting public preparedness, and coordinating mitigation projects that reduce risks before disasters happen.
During emergencies, the office serves as a central point for coordinating resources and assistance, helping ensure that personnel, equipment, and critical supplies are available to support response and recovery efforts. Through planning, collaboration, and public education, Deuel County Emergency Management is committed to building a safer and more resilient community.
